Terms and Conditions

The Croatian Association of Children's Literature Researchers (hereinafter referred to as HIDK) provides an online service through its website hidk.hr. These General Terms and Conditions determine the procedure for providing information services, managing content and conducting financial transactions. If the user of the web shop does not agree with the General Terms and Conditions and/or is under 16 years of age, please refrain from using this website. The language of communication on hidk.hr is Croatian literary language.

User of hidk.hr web shop – any legal or natural person who visits or uses the services of this website. By using the website hidk.hr, the user of the website confirms their agreement with these General Terms and Conditions. The selection of the postal code of the delivery location in the shopping cart preview, in the step before entering personal data, is informative and with that step, the visitor gains insight into any delivery costs, and the buyer becomes so only in the next step, by entering personal data and completing the order.

Buyer of hidk.hr web shop – a user of the web shop who, after selecting at least one product on the hidk.hr website, enters their personal information in the shopping cart review and sends the order to the merchant.

Purchase decision – any decision made by the user as a consumer, relating to whether, how and under what conditions to purchase, whether to use the rights they have based on the contract, regardless of whether the user has decided to act or refrain from acting.

Prices

Prices on the hidk.hr website include the calculated legal VAT rate and are expressed in Croatian kuna (HRK) and euros (EUR), depending on the buyer's choice. Prices on hidk.hr are determined for each product individually. In case of exceptional situations of wrongly determined prices, hidk.hr undertakes to inform the Buyer without delay.

Order

The ordering process on the hidk.hr web shop:

Step 1: Choosing the product, delivery and payment method

  • Choose the desired products and add them to the shopping cart
  • cart In the shopping cart preview, select the desired payment method
  • Check if the quantity of products you have added to the cart is correct and change it if necessary
  • Check if the postal code you entered is correct
  • Check if the desired payment method is selected correctly
  • Continue by clicking on "next"

Step 2:

  • In the order review, enter the data necessary for the order to be processed
  • Check if all data is correctly entered
  • Continue by clicking on "send order" or "pay", depending on the selected payment method
    Payment
  • The choice of payment method on hidk.hr is available in the order review and includes:
    Payment by credit and debit cards on hidk.hr
  • Payment by card is secure and protected. Payment on hidk.hr is made through the service provider Stripe, which uses the highest security standards when paying by credit and debit cards. You can pay by card once.

After selecting the card and clicking on "pay", the Buyer accesses the secure page of the online payment service provider Stripe, where they enter all the necessary data. At the time of card authorization, the funds are only reserved, and the payment is made only after receiving confirmation of membership or payment of the fee.

Currency conversion when paying with cards

Currency conversion for card payments is conducted in Croatian kuna and, as of January 1, 2023, in euros.

Delivery

hidk.hr offers exclusively digital products, in the form of a new membership fee, i.e. an extension of the same, and the purchase of a registration fee. There is no physical delivery of the product.

Duration of membership and registration fee

• By purchasing a membership on hidk.hr, a member of the association has purchased a membership for a period of one year. After a period of one year, the customer receives a notification about the renewal of the membership.
• The registration fee is purchased for an individual event, and is considered used upon arrival at the event.

Written complaint, termination of membership

Jurisdiction
• In the event of a dispute, the court that is competent according to the headquarters of hidk.hr is competent
